Terrazzo is not stain-proof – it's porous and will absorb acidic liquids in particular, even with a sealant applied you have to be careful. So, it's best to avoid using certain liquids on your countertop, or at least put a board down in the area you're using them on.

Terrazzo does not need protection from wear - it needs protection from absorption and stains. We do recommend you use a good sealer to protect the terrazzo surface after installation, honing and/ or polishing.

Unless hit by a very heavy and hard object, terrazzo does not fall off or crumble because terrazzo edges are beveled to prevent this type of damage.

While DIY installation is possible for those with experience, it is recommended to hire a professional installer for the best results, especially for larger or complex projects.
